The clubhouse is
open from about mid-May until mid-October. It offers members
use of comfortable living quarters, a scenic porch and serves
members and their guests. The house contains eight second and
third floor rooms that are available
for overnight accommodations for members and their guests.
Please feel free to contact us, if you would like more information about the club.
Our new beautiful landscaping with commemorative pavers! Completed in Spring 2013.
NOTE: The Horns Bar Labor Day Regatta has been rescheduled from Saturday, August 30 to Sunday, August 31. The weather pattern for the weekend indicates light winds on Saturday, and very wet. Sunday appears to be the best of the weekend days. The schedule will be as follows on Sunday.
2:00 PM - Skippers Meeting - Mackinac Island Yacht Club
2:45 PM - First Gun - 10 minutes warning
2:55 PM - Race Start
It's been a tremendous year for the Club! Room rentals have been the highest ever for July and August, and Tim has served many delicious BBQs and dinners for groups from 4 to 200. Unfortunately, it is the end of the summer season.
Here are our last events for August: Thursday Dinner, August 21, Filet, FULL
Thursday Dinner, August 28, Crab
Sunday Brunch, August 24 and August 31
Saturday, August 30, COMMODORE Fish Fry. Come wish Commodore Steve Schleede a fond farwell. The fish fry will be from 6:00-8:00, $25.
We have private events the first two weeks in September so we will not be doing Friday (Thursday) night dinner this Fall. Brunches will end also after Labor Day. However, Tim is available for private luncheons or dinners at the Club this Fall so plan on coming mid-week for the day or night (rooms are available mid-week).
You are invited to join in the Horns Bar Labor Day Regatta - Around the Island Race - to be held Saturday, August 30, 2014. This annual event, sponsored by Horns Gaslight Bar and Mackinac Island Yacht Club, is open to all sailboats as a jib and main event.
Skippers and crew may sign up by participating in the Skippers Meeting at 11:30 AM at Mackinac Island Yacht Club. Anyone interested in crewing in this event may also participate by attending the Skippers Meeting. More information on the Races page.
