Hello All:
I want to share with you feedback to the Strictly Sail Chicago Expo held at Navy Pier on January 29, 30, 31 and February 1.
Overall, I would have to say it was a very successful trip. Some of the indicators were:
- We handed out almost 400 MacMan and RTIR flyers to participants.
- We will be placing 12 x 18 posters in all the Yacht Clubs and boat yards along the south Lake Michigan shore, thanks to Kent Webster.
- We will be email blasting to 4000 sailors a joint announcement of the MacMan and RTIR with the MacMan promo link.
- We talked with many participants who have heard of the race, but wanted to know more about it. I personally talked with several people who walked away from the booth and said, "We're In!"
- We experienced tremendous cooperation from those who staffed the booth over the 4 day weekend. Little Current Yacht Club, Mackinac Island Yacht Club, and residents of Mackinac Island all pulled together to represent the races, the regions and the Yacht Clubs at their best.
- The MacMan promo presented a great picture of the race in a high energy minute and a half clip.
